A little bit about us
Mexicano started as Mexican Cantina in ’85, one of the first Mexican restaurants right here in the coolest little capital; Wellington, NZ.
Since then our Corn Chips outgrew the restaurant and we proudly supply New Zealand with great-tasting, authentic Corn Chips.
Our corn is grown right here in Hawkes Bay.

Mexicano Corn Chips are made from the best quality GM-Free corn, grown right here in Aotearoa.
Our rapeseed oil is grown down in the Canterbury Region.
It is steeped overnight to develop its flavour, then stone-ground between special Mexican volcanic rocks to produce masa. This is then carefully formed into our signature round shape and then is oven-cooked and lightly fried to produce our authentic tortilla-style corn chip. Delish!
